Abstract

Personality traits and their relationship to soft skills among school principals in East Jerusalem from the teachers' point of view
The study aimed to reveal the most common personality traits among principals of schools in East Jerusalem from the point of view of teachers, and to identify the extent to which principals of schools in East Jerusalem possess soft skills from the point of view of teachers, and to reveal the relationship between personality traits and soft skills among principals of schools in East Jerusalem from the point of view of teachers.
The sample of the study consisted of (200) male and female teachers from schools in East Jerusalem.
the researcher used the following tools: a questionnaire of personality traits and soft skills prepared by her.
The study reached the following results:
1. The level of personality traits among the principals of East Jerusalem schools from the point of view of their teachers amounted to 72.1%, and this is considered a high level. The trait of conscientiousness had a relative weight of 72.6%, while the trait of control was the least prevalent trait with a relative weight of 70.7%.
2. The average of the soft skills of the principals of public schools in the governorates of Gaza ranged between (3.883-3.653) with a relative weight of (78.6%-72.7%), which indicates that the level of all the soft skills of the principals of East Jerusalem schools from the point of view of their teachers was high according to the standard The study also showed that the level of communication and communication was the largest of the soft skills among the principals of schools in East Jerusalem from the point of view of their teachers with a relative weight of 78.6%, while networking was the least of these skills with a relative weight of 72.7%.
3.That the correlation coefficient between personality traits and soft skills among principals of schools in East Jerusalem from the point of view of their teachers was strongly positive and significant at the level of significance of 1%, which indicates the existence of a statistically significant direct relationship at the level of significance of 0.05 between personality traits and soft skills among principals of schools East Jerusalem from the point of view of their teachers.
