Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a proposed fuzzy mathematics program based on the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and modern trends in developing twenty-first-century skills among secondary school students. The researcher adopted a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test/post-test design. The research sample consisted of 30 first-grade secondary students from El-Shaheed Engineer Ahmed Ammar Secondary School in Sharqia Governorate during the 2024/2025 academic year. The experimental materials included the proposed mathematics program and a teacher’s guide for delivering its content. The research tools comprised a twenty-first-century skills test and a twenty-first-century skills scale, both administered to the students before and after the program's implementation. Statistical analysis revealed a statistically significant difference at the 0.01 level between the mean scores of the students in the pre-test and post-test, favoring the post-test results. The findings indicate the high effectiveness of the proposed program in developing twenty-first-century skills among the participants. Based on these results, the study recommends organizing training courses and workshops for in-service teachers to focus on teaching according to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and modern trends. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of utilizing advanced technologies, which play a positive and impactful role in students' personal and professional lives.
