The Relationship between Parental Efficiency and Psychological Fragility among University Students

Abstract

The search aimed to reveal the relationship between parental Efficiency and psychological fragility among university students. The sample consisted of (300) female students of the second and third year of the literary departments of the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University in Cairo, and their ages ranged between (19-21) years. The tools consisted of a scale of parental Efficiency and a measure of psychological fragility, and using the Pearson correlation coefficient, the results concluded a negative correlation and a statistical function between the total psychological fragility and the total parental Efficiency among university students. There is a negative correlation and a statistical significance between the depression dimension and total parental Efficiency. Than There is a negative correlation and a statistically significant relationship between the dimension of weak coping capabilities and total parenting Efficiency, and There is a negative correlation and a statistical significance between the psychological fate dimension and total parental Efficiency. which refers to that family relations are determinants of psychological fragility, as they are the ones that establish the psychological structure of the individual.
