Using the Cognitive Apprenticeship strategy in Teaching Geography to develop Deep comprehension and achieving the Joy of Learning among Prep. School Students

Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal “The Effectiveness of Using the Cognitive Apprenticeship strategy in Teaching Geography to Develop Deep comprehension and Achieve Joy of Learning for Students of the prep Stage”. The research used the experimental design based on two groups (experimental - control). The research group consisted of (60) Students in the Second grade of prep School. which were divided into two groups, one of them is experimental and the other is control, the strength of each of them is (30), and the research tools were represented in each of the Deep understanding test and Joy of learning scale. The research is a pre and post application to the two research groups, data processing statistically.
The results of the research concluded that here is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post application of each of the deep understanding test and the joy of learning scale in favor of the experimental group. Also, there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.01) between the average scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre and post applications of the deep understanding test and the joy of learning scale in favor of the post application. The results also showed a great effectiveness of the cognitive Studentship strategy in developing deep understanding skills, joy of learning in geography, Where the student has a central role in the educational process.
