Proposed mechanisms to diversify sources of funding for university education in Saudi Arabia in accordance with the vision of 2030 and in the light of international experience

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the philosophy of financing higher education and university education, In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,  and learn about the reality of financing university education, as well as knowledge of the reality of financing university education in several countries, including the United States of America and the European Union Britain and Asia, and analyze these global practices to benefit from the development of proposed mechanisms to diversify the sources of funding for university education in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.  he researchers used the descriptive approach and the "George Periday"  And reached the following conclusions: The need to introduce various alternatives to finance educational expenditure in the Kingdom in addition to government funding such as the expansion of the establishment of open education centers, the establishment of expert houses for consulting in exchange for money, The idea of the university producing self-financing, community participation and the private sector, the imposition of student fees, the marketing of scientific research, partnership with the business sector, granting student loans, the employment of university facilities and investment.
