The interrelationships between psychological stress, reassurance and gratitude among university students

Abstract

The research aimed to know the mutual relationships between each of them psychological stress, psychological reassurance and gratitude among university students. The sample consisted of (1052) female students in the faculties of (Education, Arts, Commerce, Law, Medicine, Engineering, and Science) of Ain Shams University, including (355) males, (497) females, aged between (18-21) with an average of (19.32) popular, and a standard deviation of (±0.815). The research relied on the use of the descriptive (correlational) approach to suit the nature and objectives of the research. The descriptive, correlational approach was used to study the correlational relationships between psychological stress, psychological reassurance, and gratitude among university students. The research tools included a primary data form and three scales prepared by the researcher: a scale of psychological stress among university students, a scale of psychological reassurance among university students, and a scale of gratitude among university students. The results of the research showed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between gratitude and psychological reassurance among university students, a negative correlation between psychological pressures and psychological reassurance among university students, and finally, a negative correlation between psychological pressures and gratitude.
