The level of female teachers’ awareness of bullying and ways to confront it among middle school students in Kuwait

Abstract

The study aims to determine the level of female teachers’ awareness of bullying and ways to confront it among middle school students in Kuwait, and to study the differences in female teachers’ awareness level according to each of the variables of years of experience, academic qualifications and training courses. To achieve these goals, the analytical descriptive approach was followed, using the questionnaire tool, after verifying its validity and reliability. The study sample consisted of (408) female teachers from middle schools in the State of Kuwait. 
The study found that the level of awareness of female teachers about bullying and ways to confront it among middle school students in Kuwait ranges between a large and medium degree, and that the level of awareness of the mechanisms for developing the role of female teachers to confront bullying was to a large degree, and the study also found that the variables of academic qualifications and training courses did not affect the level of bullying. Female teachers’ awareness of bullying and ways to confront it, while there are statistically significant differences in female teachers’ awareness of the mechanisms for developing their role in facing bullying due to the variable years of experience in favor of female teachers who have more than 10 years of experience
